Travel is a complex industry. That's why a specialist travel marketing agency matters.

When I launched Amplifly [brand | content | media], I had a fork-in-the-road decision to make. I could build a generalist marketing consultancy with a broader potential client pool, knowing that much of the strategic marketing work we deliver is transferable across industries. Or I could become a specialist travel marketing agency - focussing on the industry where my professional experience and expertise is rooted, and where I knew I could deliver deeper value.
I chose to specialise.
Travel is not a single market. It is a complex, interconnected global ecosystem, and I have seen first-hand how much impact is lost when marketing is outsourced to professionals who do not understand the industry they are advising. Without that context, strategies may look strong on paper but fail to deliver results in reality. The timing is off, messages are irrelevant, nuances are missed, and opportunities are diluted because the market dynamics are not fully understood.
The result - poor outcomes, disatisfied business owners and disillusioned marketing teams.
What I love so much about the travel industry is its diversity and its interdependence. It's what's kept me hooked for 25+ years. From TMCs to leisure agencies, airlines to hoteliers, tour operators to event organisers, tech platforms and content aggregators to travel media and beyond - they all operate with different buying cycles, audiences, triggers and channels. Yet they are deeply reliant and relevant on one another. Understanding those relationships - their synergies and nuances - changes how you build marketing strategies that actually work.
At Amplifly, we focus on bringing that industry understanding into every piece of work.
While many of our skills, frameworks, tools and thinking can absolutely be applied beyond travel, operating as a specialist travel marketing agency makes our solutions sharper, more relevant and more commercially effective for the brands we support.
Since launching Amplifly, I have spent countless hours speaking with travel operators across the breadth of the industry about their challenges, pressures and ambitions. It continues to remind me just how resilient, complex and exciting this sector is.
